Jason Lee is an accomplished American film producer, director, songwriter, record producer, artist, and entrepreneur who excels in various entertainment fields, including motion pictures, music, international media, motion picture finance, international entertainment IPs, overseas development, and foreign finance. He founded Glass Guns Films in 1995, a company that completed over 100 music videos and numerous commercials for prominent labels such as Universal Music Group, Sony, Atlantic, EMI, A&M, East West, American, Warner Bros., Jive, Hollywood Records, and BMG/RCA. Notable projects include Backstreet Boys’ “Get Down” and N’Sync’s music videos.
In 2000, Jason created the Music Video Commercial Institute (MVCI), the world’s first institute dedicated to music video and commercial film production. In 2004, he produced and A&R’d the first collaboration record between American pop and K-pop, featuring the hit girl idol group Baby Vox along with Tupac Shakur and Jennifer Lopez. In partnership with attorney Bret D. Lewis, Jason formed SEAS ENT in 2006 and successfully released several albums for artists such as Snoop Dogg, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Akaholicks, Dogg Pound Gangsters, and J-Ro (of Akaholicks).
By 2007, Jason had joined forces with Paramount Studios’ Maybach Films to form Young Media Group, focusing on urban feature films for the global market. In 2010, he produced, directed, and wrote the major film project “Hype Nation,” featuring Jay Park, Aom, and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, which made a significant impact worldwide.
Throughout his career, Jason has worked with an impressive roster of clients, including Universal Music Group, Sony, Atlantic, EMI, Warner Bros., Jive Records, BMG, RCA, NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, Baby Vox, Tupac, Jennifer Lopez, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Snoop Dogg, The Dogg Pound, CJ Entertainment, Paramount Studios, Chris Brown, Wiz Khalifa, Ray J, Teddy Riley, YG, Jay Park, Jessi, Sistar, Brave Brothers, T-ara, and Danbi, among others.
